Springfield Armory, founded in 1794, is a renowned firearms manufacturer with a rich history rooted in American innovation and military heritage. Originally established as the primary arsenal for the United States Army, the armory played a pivotal role in the development and production of many iconic firearms, including the M1 Garand and the M14 rifle. After its closure as a government facility in 1968, the Springfield Armory name was revived by a private company, Springfield Armory, Inc., which continues to produce a wide range of firearms for civilian, law enforcement, and military use. Known for their commitment to quality and performance, Springfield Armory’s product line includes the popular XD series of pistols, the M1A rifle, and the 1911 pistol, each reflecting the company’s dedication to craftsmanship and innovation.
